Born in New Jersey and now living in Spain, Catherine Carberry earned a BA in Comparative Literature from Columbia University, and an MFA in fiction from Bowling Green State University, where she served as Assistant Editor of Mid-American Review, was named a John Devine Fellow, and earned the Deborah Sparkman research grant to travel to Puerto Rico. Her fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in journals including Guernica, Tin House’s Open Bar, The Harvard Review, Indiana Review, North American Review, Greensboro Review, Sou’wester, and has been broadcast on National Public Radio. Her book reviews, craft essays, and interviews for publications including The Rumpus, North American Review, and The White Review.
